Soccer schedule hectic...

tonight as the Bermuda Football Association moved quickly to reshedule the weekend's rained out First Division fixtures.

Fans will have plenty of choices as a First Division double header is slated for PHC Stadium where St. David's meet North Village at 7 p.m. and PHC take on St. George's at 9.

The lone match at BAA Field sees Devonshire Colts taking on champions Vasco at 8 p.m. while at Devonshire Rec., Dandy Town clash with Boulevard at 9. That will follow a Second Division match between Hamilton Parish and Hotels.

There are also two matches at Somerset where the Trojans take on Wolves at 9 p.m., preceded by a Women's League match between Wolves and Rude Girls.

The only match from Sunday not yet rescheduled is the one between Paget and Social Club.

In the weekend's only Second Division match, Somerset Eagles and BAA drew 1-1 on Friday night. Eagles took the lead in the 61st minute through Roger Brangman and Brian Cook equalised five minutes from the end.

Mariners and St. George's All-Stars are through to the Commercial League Cup B final and Robin Hood and BAA Wanderers the A final after Saturday's four semi-finals produced 25 goals.

Robin Hood were the big winners, thrashing Spinning Wheel 9-0, with eight of the goals coming in the second half.

Earlier in the day, Wheel went down to the wire in penalty kicks before finally edging Forties 10-9. Penalties were necessary after both teams finished level on points and with identical goal differences.

In the other semi-final, Andy McCulloch netted all three as Wanderers beat Lobster Pot 3-1.

At Bernard Park, Mariners got by North Village Rams 4-3 in extra time. Joe Cunha, Mark DeCoute and Craig Dixon (2) scored for Mariners and Haile Melakot, Alan Fray and Milgrove Romaine for the Rams. In the second match St. George's beat Bermuda Pest Control 6-0. Cal Rayner scored twice and Hubert Wade, Sinclair Smith, George Cannonier and Eugene Crockwell once.

The League Cup A final is Thursday at Somerset at 7 p.m.
