Somerset avenge loss to millfield

division finals of the Bermuda Youth Soccer Cup, which reaches its climax at National Stadium tonight.

In the under-12s, group winners North Village hammered third-placed Hamilton Parish 9-2 while Colts got by Somerset 5-3 in the other semifinal match. The final is scheduled for 4.30 p.m. while the young Trojans and Peppers will meet in the consolation match at noon at Bernard Park.

Colts booked their meeting with PHC in the under-14 final when they beat PHC 4-2 yesterday. That final is scheduled for 5.40 p.m. at the stadium.

Visiting team W.S. Elite of Pennsylvania will meet North Village in the under-16 final. Village beat Somerset 4-1 in their first meeting yesterday and then edged by the same team 3-2 in the afternoon match.

PHC had to go to penalty kicks before beating Devonshire Colts 5-4 to advance to the under-19 final today. The two teams were deadlocked 2-2 after regulation time. PHC will meet Somerset in the final after Somerset avenged their heavy defeat at the hands of English team Millfield earlier in the week with a 4-2 triumph.

The under-19 final is scheduled for 9 p.m. tonight with Devonshire Colts taking on Millfield in the consolation final at 1.30 p.m. at Bernard Park.

Somerset's Kwame Tucker was involved in a mix-up in Monday's match where it was incorrectly announced that he was sent off in the abandoned game against Millfield. Tucker was listed on the team sheet as having number 11, but he actually wore number 17.
