victory over North Village Rams on Saturday in Group A of the Commercial League.

The teams were level at 1-1 after first half goals by Leonard Davis for Fire and Brandon Rogers for the Rams.

Weekend Commercial League matches were either played on Friday night or brought forward to 10 a.m. starts on Saturday so as not to clash with the schools all-star matches.

The key game in the division between top teams BAA Wanderers and Robin Hood was rescheduled for last night at BAA Field.

Saturday's other two Group A matches finished in 3-3 draws as MR Onions came from 3-1 down to draw with St. George's All-Stars while Lobster Pot and Ireland Rangers also shared six goals.

Sinclair Smith netted a hat-trick for All-Stars and had a strong appeal for a penalty in the last minute turned down when he was challenged inside the box.

But all the All-Stars got from the referee, a volunteer from MR Onions, was a corner before the final whistle was blown.

Mark Briers, David Outtrim and Neil Clemens scored for Onions.

Michael Bremar netted two goals and Wendell Anderson the other for Ireland Rangers against Lobster Pot who replied through Tim Brown and Nigel Moffatt.

On Friday night Mariners won by default over Spinning Wheel.

In Group B, leaders Forties hammered Exiles 4-0 with Brian Fubler and Carlos Lee both scoring twice.

Valley won by a similar margin over Bermuda Pest Control with Kevin Isaac scoring twice in the second half after Anthony Botelho and Sean Smith had given them a 2-0 lead at the half.

Wolves and Belco played to a 0-0 draw while Somerset Extros and Devonshire All-Stars drew 2-2. Stephen Riley and Everett Wellman scored for the Extros and Jeff Richardson for the All-Stars.
