Social Club looking to give their ailing campaign a shot in the arm.

The clash against the only remaining First Division side in the competition has taken on added importance for the Zebras following their slide down the league, which has seen them fall seven points behind leaders Dandy Town and North Village.

The clash, which kicks off at 9.00 p.m., is the second of a quarter-finals double-header at Somerset Cricket Club, with Southampton Rangers meeting Devonshire Colts in the first game (7.00 p.m.).

PHC coach Sammy Swan was taking nothing for granted ahead of the tie against a Social Club team who are second from bottom of the First Division, having gleaned just six points from seven games.

"Both teams will be looking to prove things and establish something they can try and build on,'' said Swan.

"It should be a pretty good match-up, but I think we have a good chance of winning.'' The Zebras' only serious hopes of silverware this season come in the Friendship Trophy, in which the Warwick club have reached the semi-finals, and the FA Cup.

Swan's priority is still the league, although he is now more concerned with Premier Division survival than attempting to defend the title.

"What would be more important to me than winning in the FA Cup would be winning more league games. We want to win as many league games as we can and try to stay in the Premier Division,'' he said.

PHC will tonight be without Bermuda national team defender Stanton Lewis, who has a hamstring strain. Striker Steve Astwood is expected to recover from a similar injury in time to play.

Cup specialists Colts will start as hot favourites to win tonight's opening match.

Colts, last season's losing finalists, have a record second to none in knockout competitions over the past two seasons, while Rangers have endured a dismal season.

The Premier Division's basement club have won just one league match all season but Colts skipper Shannon Burgess said his side would not be taking Rangers lightly.

"We should not be looking at their place in the standings because both times we have played them this season we've had a difficult time,'' said Burgess.

"The first time it was 1-1 and the second time we won 1-0. So we know we will have to perform at a good level.''
