Pembroke Juniors were back to their best last Saturday in the Barritt's Sportsmen's League, and Social Club were the unfortunate victims in a 19-8 hammering.
Juniors bowled the best series of 2,739 and top game of 1,005 and the consistency within the team was such that only Dean Lightbourne -- third high series of 585 -- made the individual honour roll.
Social Club's David Abraham was their lone shining star with a 231 second high game.
Buy & Sell returned the second high series of 2,659 and third high game of 948 in an 18-9 win over Sparks. Clifford Maxwell bowled the third high game of 227 for the winners.
Mini Forwarders' Chris Leverock was the night's top bowler. His 606 series, however, came in a losing cause as Forwarders went down to Warwick Reds 151 -111 . Leverock's team-mate Steve Wales had the second high series of 586.
What did the trick for Reds was their third high series of 2,602 and second high game of 955, no doubt aided by Leon Smith's top game of 247.
Saturday's schedule: Warwick Whites v Buy & Sell, Sparks v Young Blood, Mini Forwarders v Social Club, Pembroke Juniors v Warwick Reds.
