Jamel Hassell on Alvin Landy's Yahama had an unusual seventh placing in the first moto because of engine trouble but bounced back to pick up two seconds.
There was some good racing between Jason DeSilva, Shaki Easton, Craig Panchaud, Howard Paynter and Spencer Butterfield with Panchaud's second in the first moto being noteworthy as this is only his fourth race meet in his first year of riding.
The 125C pitted the Maxwell brothers against each other with Chris coming out on top over Leroy who won last week. Mike Burgess and Kyle Constable were no-shows but are expected, along with Evan Lambert who is back from school, to participate in the Formula Shell Classic on Boxing Day.
Chris finished Sunday's racing with two firsts and a second while Leroy sandwiched two seconds between a win in the second moto.
Once again the main attraction was in the 125B class where Buddy Joell returned after missing last week but had to settle for three seconds while Robby Smith took the day's honours with two firsts and a third. Aaron Pace was third with two thirds and a first.
In the first moto Joell led Smith, Aaron Pace and Ras Mykkal in the opening laps before Smith made his move on the `washboard' to take over the lead and hold on to win.
The result was repeated in the second moto with Smith gaining his fifth win of the year. The pack went through the first turn in the final race with Smith, Joell and Pace in that order before Smith fell to allow Joell and then Pace to take the lead.
Pace held on for his first win in five races while Joell was second despite a flat and Smith third.
The Formula Shell Classic, sponsored by the Shell Company of Bermuda on Boxing, brings out the best in the sport and on Sunday 30-plus bikes from 50cc to 250cc will be putting on a thrilling holiday treat.
The 1992 Formula Shell winners were Chris Maxwell in the 80cc, Devon Moss in the 125C and Robbie Smith in 250B who have all changed classes. Defending 125B winner Cory Smith has not been active this year.
BOWLING BOW Pembroke Juniors staked their claim to the leadership of the Barritt's Sportsmen's League when they usurped previous leaders Buy and sell 19-8 in their head to head tussle.
Juniors were in striking form, rolling to the team high series and game, 2716 and 946 respectively, and turning the lights out on their opponents.
Leading the way was chief weapon Dean Lightbourne, who registered a stunning 223 game that helped him to an equally brilliant 655 series.
Buy and Sell performed well, but their 2627, which included a third high team game of 928, was not nearly enough to offset the Pembroke juggernaut.
Pembroke lead the standings with 252 wins followed by Buy and sell with 250.
Sparks, meanwhile, sit in the third position after they made Warwick Reds pay the price for showing up short-handed, walloping the latter 221 -41 .
Remaining results saw fourth place Mini Forwarders demolish Social Club 25-2 and Young Blood get by Warwick Whites 16-11.
SNOOKER SNO Warwick edged their way into a slender lead atop the Snooker League's First Division on the tails of a 3-2 defeat of Queens II last week.
Renaldo Bean lead the victors, notching a 22-break during his 42-41 wins over Nick Mansell and was supported by Hilgrove Iris and Steve Bremar.
The triumph moved Warwick a point clear of Nationals and Sandys Sports Club II although Nationals enjoyed an easy 4-1 win over Sandys Sports Club I.
Dave McLean was honoured as the First Division player of the week after registering a 33-break as his team, Old Colony Club I, got past Queens I 3-2.
Receiving the award in the second Division was Chris Crick, who scored 32 points against Kenny Wheatley, but still watched his club go down 3-2 to Spanish Point.
The remaining encounter witnessed Old Colony Club II seize a 3-2 result against Sandys Boat Club.
