The Super Eight division will probably be implemented this season, but not in the original form which was presented to affiliates by the Bermuda Cricket

At a meeting on Monday night, member clubs reportedly accepted the revival of a Super Eight division in principle, but have apparently instructed the board to consider various recommendations that were suggested by the members in an attempt to improve the structure of the league.

Reginald Pearman, vice president of the BCBC, denied that affiliates had rejected outright the proposal of the new division and said that the board was hopeful that things would be worked out.

"We are taking it back for further discussion, the prior plan needs to be streamlined. We hope to come to a settlement where we all agree,'' said Pearman.

It is believed the clubs were unhappy with the Super Eight being designed to operate without promotion or relegation and to run unchanged for a period of two years.
