Top two scrape victories
But while third and fourth placed Robin Hood and Fire Service were scoring 21 goals between them, top two teams BAA Wanderers and Lobster Pot were squeezing out narrow victories.
Wanderers needed two goals in the last five minutes from Martin Jones to beat North Village Rams and remain the only team in the division with a perfect record from four matches.
Lobster Pot nipped bottom team MR Onions 2-1 while PHC climbed two places up the tables with a 1-0 win over Vasco Mariners. The winning goal was scored by Keith Bell in the 13th minute.
Robin Hood hammered Prison Officers 9-1 to take over second place on goal difference. Alan Mooney scored a hat-trick for Hood while Derek Thomas netted twice. One each came from Colin McQueen, Simon Turner, Donny Smith and Paul Towlson. R.Butterfield replied for Officers in the 86th minute from the penalty spot.
Fire topped that with a 12-2 victory over Exiles as Kenneth Bartrum netted four times and Alan Wilkinson twice. Other goals came from R.Thomas, Carlos Caisey, Theron Smith, Troy Furbert, Brian Fubler and Bo Saggar. Exiles replied through Michael Smith and Alan Johnson.
In the B Division, Devonshire All-Stars were knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten when Tuff Dogs handed them a 3-0 loss. Tuff Dogs share 12 points with St. George's All-Stars at the top of the standings, the only two teams in the division with perfect records. They meet on Saturday.
St. George's came from behind to beat Valley 3-1 with veteran Cal Rayner netting a hat-trick for the east enders. Devonshire Lions beat Belco 8-4.
Craig Brangman (2), Oral Swan and Gerald Sims were the scorers for Belco.
Wolves edged Bermuda Pest Control 4-3 with Ernest Spencer netting twice and Anthony Francis the other for the losers.
