Top two tangle at sea breeze oval
the top match tomorrow in the Open League championship.
Six points separate two teams with Stars having won all three of their matches so far.
However, it is always difficult for the visiting team at Sea Breeze Oval and Bay will be determined to get back on the winning track after last weekend's draw against Southampton Rangers.
This weekend's matches will be the last for the Bermuda national team players who travel to England next Saturday for a six-match, two-week tour. It will also be the last round of Open cricket until June 21 as limited overs cricket returns next weekend.
Five national team players will be on parade at Sea Breeze Oval -- Noel Gibbons and Charlie Marshall for Bay and Stars trio Arnold Manders, Jeff Richardson and Gary Brangman.
This match promises to be an exciting contest, with Gibbons, Marshall, Glenn Smith and Cal Dill the key men in the batting for Bay while Gregory Sampson, Dexter Smith, Arnold Manders and Jeff Richardson will do the brunt of the Stars batting.
Both teams possess potential match-winners with the ball, Bay having Anthony Braithwaite, Clarkie Trott and Noel Gibbons and Stars with Gary Brangman, Anthony Brangman, Wayne Richardson and Arnold Manders.
Third-placed Devonshire Rec., eight points out of first place, should close the gap by taking maximum points from Social Club at St. John's field.
Another interesting match will be at Prospect where fourth-placed Police host Nationals, who are fifth. This will be Nationals' first trip to Police field since winning there in the Central Counties final last season.
St. George's, who picked up their first win in Open cricket last weekend when they shocked neighbours St. David's, face Southampton Rangers at home tomorrow while St. David's, on the bottom of the table with three losses, will be anxious to pick up their game when they travel to White Hill to meet Somerset Bridge.
In other matches, Flatts are at home to Willow Cuts at Devonshire Rec., Somerset host Hamilton Parish at Somerset CC and Warwick meet Cleveland at Southampton Oval.
