Tucker top of the averages
Division, topping the batting and bowling averages released this week by Bermuda Cricket Board of Control.
Tucker, the only player outside the Premier Division to play in Cup Match this year and also a member of the ntional team, has scored 692 runs in 10 league innings, with three centuries and two 50s for an average of 76.89.
The talented youngster also leads the bowling averages with 25 wickets at an average of 6.72 each.
Second to Tucker in the First Division bowling is Johnny Nusum of Warwick with 22 wickets at an average of 8.58 while Anthony Amory of Devonshire Rec. has 13 wickets at an average of 9.46 which puts him third overall.
Brian Gibbons of Somerset Bridge has the most wickets in the First Division, 28, at an average of 12.93 while Rangers pair Dwayne Steede and Garry Williams are in the top five of the averages. Steede has 15 wickets at 10.13 each and Williams 23 wickets at 11.22.
Next to Tucker in the batting is Rodney Woolridge of Flatts with 283 runs in eight innings for an average of 40.45. Gibbons is the next best all-rounder in the First Division with his 296 runs at an average of 35.75 putting him third among the batsmen.
Albert Steede and Clarkie Trott lead the batting and bowling averages for the Premier Division.
Steede, of Western Stars, has scored 491 league runs in 10 innings at an average of 70.14 with brothers Wendell and Clay Smith of St. George's second and third. Wendell has scored 495 runs in 10 innings for an average of 61.88 while Clay has hit his 308 runs in nine innings at an average of 61.60.
Top all-rounder in the Premier Division is Arnold Manders. His batting average of 36.00 from seven innings (232 runs) rates fourth while he is also fourth among the bowlers with 23 wickets at an average of 14.61.
Trott of Bailey's Bay leads the bowlers with 19 wickets at an average of 9.68, while Hasan Durham of Western Stars is the leading wicket-taker with 27 league wickets, which puts him second in the averages with 13.04 per wicket.
