Wanderers allow rivals to close the gap

Chris Smith scored for BAA Wanderers and Wayne Pimental for Rams as both goals in that match came in the second half.

Robin Hood moved to within a point of the leaders with their 2-0 win over Mariners as Allan Mooney netted in the 40th minute and Alex McLaughlin scored in the 85th.

Lobster Pot won 3-1 away to bottom team St. George's All-Stars to stay in third place. Bob Makousky opened the scoring in the sixth minute and Anthony Smith and Tim Brown added two more in the 60th and 83rd minutes before Delbert Minors pulled one back for St. George's in the 85th minute.

Ireland Rangers and Fire rService both fell off the pace when they drew 4-4.

Keith Bremar, Wendell Anderson, Donald Madeiros (penalty) and Troy Berkeley scored for Rangers who came back from 3-1 down at the half.

In the other Group A match, Spinning Wheel moved two places away from the relegation zone with a 2-0 win over MR Onions. Stevie Tucker opened the scoring in the 14th minute and Youssef Boucetta added the second 10 minutes from the end.

Forties opened a five-point lead at the top of Group B with their 4-2 win over Wolves, while second and third-placed Prison Officers and Somerset Extros both lost.

Mike Williams scored a hat-trick for Forties with Derek Thomas adding the fourth while Jeff Cameron and Derek Douglas replied for Wolves.

Bottom team Exiles picked up their first win of the season when they beat Prison Officers 2-1 on goals from Alan Johnson and Antoine Cannonier. Craig Tyrrell also missed a penalty for Exiles while Mike Lambe replied for Officers.

Belco edged by Somerset Extros 4-3. Michael Brangman (2), Casey Butterfield and Shawn Spencer scored for Belco while Ronue Cann, Lloyd Telford and Everett Wellman replied for Extros.

Valley and Devonshire Lions drew 3-3. Earl Pringle, Sean Smith and Kevin Isaac netted Valley's goals and James Raynor, Donald Norford and Raynell Perinchief scored for the Lions.
