fifth cup final appearance in the 1990s this weekend.

And they will have two key players back in their line-up for the crucial semi-final against Devonshire Colts, with rugged defender Leroy Stevens having served a one-match suspension and playmaker Dwight (Payback) Warren back to fitness after resting a foot injury.

Warren played just the first half of last weekend's match against Southampton Rangers before being replaced at half-time. He said then that the substitution was a precaution with the FA semi-final coming up.

Boulevard have never lost in an FA Cup final since their first of four appearances in 1990-91. Their semi-final opponents tomorrow at St. John's Field have not been so successful in the final, having suffered five defeats stretching back to the 1970s.

In 10 final appearances Colts have won just twice, when they had back to back wins 1972-73 and '73-74. Defeat number eight came last year when they took Vasco into extra-time before going down 2-1.

And while both Colts and Boulevard have struggled for any consistency this season in the league where they have both won just five of 15 games, the cup competitions have been kinder to both teams. Colts are already in the Friendship final and are aiming to match their achievement of 1992-93 when they reached both the FA and Friendship finals.

Instead of going into this match knowing who the other finalist will be, tomorrow's game is now the first semi-final after the match scheduled for Thursday night between North Village and Dandy Town was hit by the weather and will now take place on Tuesday night.

Boulevard have been playing with noticeably more confidence lately, having won four of their last five league matches and will be hoping that form can spill over into the cup competitions.

"It's an even match and as far as beating Colts, I feel we can beat any team, we just have to have the will and desire and do the simple things,'' said Warren yesterday.

"I'm sure they feel the same way as well. I think it's going to be a good game, we haven't done remarkable in the league but as far as cup competitions we have played pretty good football.'' Both teams lost key players to transfers last summer, though Boulevard looked the harder hit after the departure of the likes of Neil Robinson, Leonard Hypolite, Tafari Outerbridge, Donnie Charles and Rodney Bascome. Not long ago they were facing the threat of relegation before a run of good results lifted them out of the bottom two.

Now they are in a good position to reach two April finals as they are also in the semi-final of the Friendship Trophy where they will meet Vasco.

"Our main focus is a Martonmere spot so the other trophies will be a bonus to us,'' said Warren.

In today's opening match Somerset will play Dandy Town in the Crystal Palace Cup.

Parking for the St. John's matches will be available at Berkeley School Field.
