Westchester clinch first title
to win their first Goodwill Tournament yesterday.
The team from New York state, led by professional Kevin Morris, shot a final round 62 at Port Royal to clinch the triumph over their fellow New Yorkers, whose 55 at Riddell's Bay left them just one stroke short.
Locals Port Royal slipped to third in the net competition, despite professional Frankie Rabain's hole in one at Mid Ocean's seventh hole yesterday. Their round of 59 put them a further shot back on 238 for the tournament.
Bermuda's Ocean View team, with pro Dwayne Pearman, Stephen Lambert, Calvin Dill and Tommy Squire, pushed themselves up from ninth overnight to end in fourth position as they shot a net 59 for a total of 240.
Navesink, of New Jersey, won the gross competition with a score of 258.
