Windies tour dates changed
against Zimbabwe and Pakistan could affect the travel plans of hundreds of Bermudians who head south each year for the incoming tours.
West Indies Cricket Board have revised the itinerary because of the All-Stars day/night match between Asia and the Rest of the World which the International Cricket Council (ICC) has now agreed will be played on April 8 as the highlight of Cricket Week.
The ICC has demanded that the best players from the Test playing countries be in Dhaka, Bangladesh for Cricket Week, which is a project supported by the United Nations.
As a result several changes have been made to the Caribbean tours.
Zimbabwe are set to play two Tests against the West Indies in March followed by a triangular one-day series with West Indies and Pakistan. Pakistan are also scheduled to play three Test matches during May.
The revised schedule is as follows: March 1: Zimbabwe arrive in Grenada.
March 4-6: Zimbabwe v Board XI, Queens Park, Grenada.
March 10-13: Zimbabwe v President's XI, Guaracara Park, Trinidad.
March 16-20: Zimbabwe v West Indies, first Test, Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad.
March 24-28: Zimbabwe v West Indies, second Test, Sabina Park, Jamaica.
April 1: Zimbabwe v West Indies, one-day match, Sabina Park, Jamaica.
April 2: West Indies v Zimbabwe, one-day match, Sabina Park, Jamaica.
April 2: Pakistan arrive in Antigua.
April 5: Pakistan v Zimbabwe, one-day match, Antigua Recreation Ground.
April 8-9: Pakistan v Team TBA, Antigua.
April 8-10: Zimbabwe v Team TBA, Grenada.
April 12: Pakistan v West Indies, one-day match, Arnos Vale, St.Vincent.
April 15: Zimbabwe v Pakistan, one-day match, Queens Park, Grenada.
April 16: West Indies v Pakistan, one-day match, Queens Park, Grenada.
April 19: First one-day final, Kensington Oval, Barbados.
