Glass gained a moral victory, as they blasted the newly crowned champions 17-3. However, Staff still took top honours by a whopping 11 points over runners-up Glass.

Amflites and Perfect Combination ended the season in third and fourth place respectively, with the former emerging triumphant from their battle.

In other matches, Us Until defeated Flagler 11-9, East End Asphalt 13-7 victors over Get Togethers and Four Star Pizza downing Terrible Four 12-8.

A prize presentation has been scheduled for April 27.

Marlins had their hopes of winning the Fishbowl League dashed by a determined Wahoo outfit.

Needing three points to overhaul their opponents for the title, Marlins got off to a rocky start, losing the opening two games and with them any dreams of the championship. Wahoo, thus, will wear the mantle of league champions, a title they richly deserved after a consistent season.

Tuna garnered third place on account of a 2-2 draw with Angel Fish, who dropped to fifth.

Meanwhile, Barracuda were fourth after defeating Cow Pollies 3-1.

Other matches had Piranhas devouring Dolphins 4-0, Porgies beating Snappers 3-1 and Hinds and Sharks battled to a 2-2 draw.

BASEBALL BAS The Bermuda Youth Athletic Organization raised the curtains on a new baseball season on Saturday.

In Rookie League action, ROICC Twins slid past the Cardinals 8-7, PWD Angels battered the Blue Jays 8-2, Rockies edged the Yankees 5-4 and the Astros defeated the Orioles 9-8 in a slugfest. The Tigers had a bye during the first week of action.

In Little League games, the Tigers flexed their hitting muscles by defeating the Angels 15-3, White Sox thumped the Yankees 20-9, Indians crushed the Braves 18-7 and the Blue Jays knocked off the Orioles 14-9. The Phillies had a bye.

GOLF GLF Port Royal Golf Club has issued its 300-plus members with an ultimatum -- pay up or face exclusion from the club.

Members' annual fees are due tomorrow, and anybody who has not renewed will not be allowed to rejoin. Unlike in previous years, no exceptions will be made.

A club spokesman said yesterday that Port Royal had decided to reduce its membership through attrition and by not accepting any new members this year.

Those who failed to pay their dues by tomorrow, he added, would be automatically excluded.

TENNIS TEN The Peat Marwick Junior Tennis tournament takes place this coming Saturday and Sunday, April 17 and 18, at the Tennis Stadium in a fun, round-robin format.

Boys and girls will be participating in four categories, eight-and-under, 10-and-under, 12-and-under and 14-and-under.

Youths competing in the event are reminded to deliver their completed application forms to the Tennis Stadium by 5.30 p.m. on Friday.
