A joint outing by the Cruising Club of America and the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, the Newport to Bermuda Race is this year set to begin on June 19.

The five-race Onion Patch Series series will again feature two races each in both Newport, Rhode Island, and Bermuda's Great Sound, linked by the Newport to Bermuda event as the third race.

It will also include the New York Yacht Club annual regatta, sailed off Newport on June 13-14 as the first two races, and the two-race RBYC Anniversary Regatta in Bermuda on June 26 as the fourth and fifth races.

Onion Patch organisers hope to attract teams of single entries from the United States, Europe and other areas with active IMS fleets.
