ACE carries on tennis sponsorship

Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) president David Lambert is a pleased man after insurance company ACE announced they would continue their sponsorship of the BLTA's school initiative programme.

The programme, which has been sponsored by ACE for a decade, allows school coordinators, such as Tara Lambert for the West End and Brent Smith for the East End to work closely with the PE teachers to establish introductory tennis programmes.

ACE's sponsorship, allows the BLTA to provide equipment such as nets, rackets, and balls for the various programmes.

The ACE/ BLTA's inter-school tennis tournament, which runs over three Fridays, starts on February 26 at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium at 1 p.m..

"This tournament over the years has attracted all of Bermuda's top players and we are expecting the same response this year," said president Lambert.

"The numbers average 200 participants and all schools are invited to participate.

"We are always pleased by the participation island wide.
