In an evenly contested encounter Robin Hood beat fellow First Division newcomers MR Onions in the first match to be played at the $1 million Field Turf facility at BAA Field.

Hood made the perfect start to the life in the domestic second tier with Teddy Terceira giving them the lead after four minutes.

The match eventually kicked off after a lengthy delay because there was no corner flags while the goalposts also needed securing.

Jahron Dickinson blitzed a hat-trick as St. George's Colts began their march toward the Premier Division, demolishing BAA 6-0 at Wellington Oval.

Retuning back to his home club, Dickinson snatched a hat-trick while another returnee, David Signor, also struck. Marcus Anderson and Macai Simmons put the match to bed with goals.

n In women's football, Lady Cougars beat Police 4-0 at Somerset Cricket Club on Saturday. Jessica Furtado struck twice while Tomesiha Darrell and Akela Bremner also scored.
