Badminton open house
An open house for phase two of the youth badminton programme began this week, aimed at for promising young players with the potential to become the Island's top players.
Sponsored by the Department of Youth, Sports and Recreation and supported by Bermuda Badminton Association, the programme includes nine players who have all passed the second part of an assessment test.
They are: Jonari Smith (aged 11), Kyle Cantarella (14), Ryan Cantarella (12), Joshua Thorne (eight), Aidan Thorne (11), Jori' Butterfield (9), Gianluca Guglielmucci (12), Brandon Silva (10) and Jahkeylo Burgess (10).
The programme will run every Monday from 5.30 to 7.00 p.m. at the Bermuda College Gymnasium and is open to all school students aged between eight and 16.
Places are still available for those who can pass phase one of the assessment .
