Bascome's future remains unclear
It remained unclear last night whether or not Boulevard's hierarchy had met with top coach Andrew Bascome to establish the latter's intentions for next season.
The UEFA B Licensed coach and ex-Bermuda international is said to be involved in a pay dispute with Blazers officials and has already held informal talks over a possible return to nearby Devonshire Cougars.
Yesterday he was due to meet with Boulevard officials to discuss which team he intended to coach during the 2009-10 campaign.
Last year Bascome agreed to a one-year coaching deal with the Pembroke club who he led to FA Cup glory in a season in which Blazers also finished runners-up in the Premier Division and Champions Dudley Eve Cup.
The coaching guru has refused to comment on the matter but it is understood that Premier Division and Martonmere Cup champions Cougars have made a lucrative offer to lure his services back to the Den.
Bascome coached Cougars to Premier Division and Friendship Trophy honours in 2004-05 and a year later helped the Big Cats land a maiden Dudley Eve Cup.
Boulevard president, Stephen Proctor, did not return calls yesterday.
Earlier this week the former Blazers official said he had hoped to establish exactly what Bascome's plans were at the earliest possible time.
However, he claimed that repeated attempts to reach Bascome had been unsuccessful with the latter failing to return calls.
Bascome's refusal to establish contact with his Boulevard superiors has fuelled growing speculation that his days as the club's head coach could be over.
