Bean makes Carifta team
Alexis Bean confirmed her participation at this year's Carifta Games after she reached the 1500 metre standard at the New York Roads Runners (NYRR) Thursday night races.
Bean, who is studying in St. John's University, came sixth in the event in a time of four minutes, 50.40 seconds to reach the "A" standard.
n Today is the last day for parents to enter their children in the Telford Magic Mile.
Runners from four years old right up to 12 years old are eligible to participate, with awards being presented at the completion of each race.
T-shirts will be presented to all runners that finish the race.
Entry forms for this event, which kicks off next Saturday at the National Sports Centre, are available at the Telford Depot, The Sportseller, International Sports Shop and all publice and private schools.
Late entry can be done by Wednesday, February 24th.
The mile is sponsored by Telford Industries in conjunction with the Bermuda Pacers track Club and sanctioned by the Bermuda Track and Field Association (BTFA).
