Bermuda 'keeper Hall earns MLS trial
Bermuda international goalkeeper Freddy Hall will look to impress professional scouts after being invited to Major League Soccer (MLS) trials
Hall, 23, is one of only five 'keepers invited to the annual MLS player trials held prior to the MLS Draft at Central Broward Park, Fort Lauderdale from January 8-12.
In total, 63 players from 44 Division One collegiate teams will attend the try-outs.
Quinnipiac head coach Eric Da Costa said his 'keeper had a good chance of winning an MLS contract.
"We are very proud of Freddy for his much-deserved recognition and this confirms him as one of the top goalkeepers in all of Division One soccer," said Eric Da Costa.
"Freddy will undoubtedly have many professional playing opportunities, including Major League Soccer.
"This is the second consecutive year that the MLS has recognised a Quinnipiac player for his professional calibre. We thank Freddy for his many contributions to our programme and to the University.
"I wish him the best as he starts his new journey and look forward to watching him continue to excel."
This season, Hall was one of the nation's top goalkeepers, leading all of Division One in save percentage for numerous weeks. He was honoured as the top 'keeper in the NEC this season and was named to the All-Conference first team.
