BFA punish player for unladylike conduct
A female player and her club have been disciplined by Bermuda Football Association while a First Division player has been suspended after attempting to choke one of his opponents.
Kyla Ramatar of Devonshire Lady Cougars was accused of using foul language towards the referee and charged with "behaviour designed to bring the game into disrepute."
The BFA Disciplinary Committee handed out a four-match ban and put Ramatar on probation until the end of April next year following the incident on January 20 in the game between Cougars and North Village Ladies.
Devonshire Recreation Club were also fined for $300 for failing to control players and spectators during the same game.
Wolves player Leo Ming was suspended for a year after he was accused of fighting and attempting to choke a player in the match between St. David's and Wolves on February 7.
n Bermuda international Reggie Lambe was on target in Ipswich Town reserves' 3-1 win against Bury in their Suffolk FA Premier Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.
Lambe opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, converting a cross from Ronan Murray.
Murray added a second from the penalty spot while substitute Ronan Griffith scored Town's third.
