Tyrell Burgess' Vancouver Whitecaps will kick off the USL-D1 play-offs against regular season champions Portland Timbers tomorrow.

It promises to be a tough tie for the defending champions with Timbers shattering the league's unbeaten record, going 24 games without losing.

The series will open in Vancouver at 10:30 p.m. (Eastern time) on USLlive.com with the second match on Sunday on Fox Soccer Channel at 7 p.m. (Eastern time).

In the semi-final, Montreal Impact tackle Puerto Rico Islanders. The winners will advance to the USL-D1 Championship Series, which will be a two-leg, aggregate score series on October 10 and 17.

Bermuda international Burgess has made 23 appearances for Whitecaps this season, scoring one goal.
