Coach Furbert rejoins Colts
has stunned his newly-promoted team by returning to Devonshire Colts as head coach.
Furbert's shock move comes at a time when he was believed to be strengthening his squad in preparation for the new football campaign.
Two seasons ago Furbert assisted then coach Vic Ball at Colts. Ball resigned prior to the FA Cup final which Colts lost to triple crown winners Vasco.
Quilton Joell was in charge for the season's showpiece, but last night it was not known how the appointment affects his position.
Furbert himself stunned Colts by his initial move to Parish last season, making the switch after being instrumental in helping Colts to the league title.
Many felt that Furbert's coaching skills had played at least as big a role in that success as Ball's input.
The appointment of Furbert comes shortly after PHC's naming of former Vasco striker Sammy Swan as their head coach. Vasco seem certain to call on John Rebello to continue in a coaching role after failing to find a replacement following his announcement that he intended to retire.
