Daniels helps Grand Canyon finish third
Bermuda's Terence Daniels shot one over par to help Grand Canyon University finish third at the 37th Hanny Stanislaus Invitational at Turlock Golf and Country Club.
GCU finished with a three-round total of 876 (12 over), five strokes behind co-champions CSU Stanislaus (871) and CSU San Bernardino (871). The 'Lopes finished one shot ahead of Chico State (877).
Daniels finished tied for eighth with a 217, one over, while senior Brandon Hill finished tied for 14th with a 220 (4 over) and shot one-under-par on Tuesday, carding the 'Lopes best round of the day.
CSU San Bernardino's Gene Webster, Jr. won the event with a tournament record 198 (18 under).
For GCU, senior Bentley Nakasawa finished tied for 19th with a 221 (five over), sophomore Richie Kernagis tied for 26th at 223 (seven over) and Matt Pridey tied for 48th with a 229 (13 over).
Pridey had GCU's best round of the tournament with a second-round two-under-par 70.
GCU will attempt to defend their crown at the Pacific West Conference Championships next week at Kapolei Golf Course in Kapolei, Hawaii.
