Colts kept in the hunt for promotion in the First Division with this comfortable three goal victory at Wellington Oval.

Jarreau Hayward got them off to an early start and then Mackie Crane added their second from the penalty spot.

Prospect fought hard to come back after the break but Colts' defence held together.

Colts got their third goal in the second half through Marcus Anderson.

X'Roads 3

Wolves 0

Khomeini and Thaaqib Talbot single handedly ensured that X'Roads climbed two positions in the First Division table as they swept aside lowly Wolves at Garrison Field.

A brace from Khomeini and a single tally from Thaaqib enabled the hosts to take the three points and leapfrog Paget as well as their opponents.

Somerset Trojans 1

BAA 0

Zahke Iris was the hero for Somerset Trojans yesterday as his goal gave his side a win against BAA at Somerset Cricket Club.

The win sees Trojans remain in fourth place on 29 points, three points behind St. David's.

However, with a game in hand over the East End rivals, Trojans could draw level with their rival with the promotion race heating up as the end draws near.

Somerset Eagles 1 St.David's 0

A Darin Dowling header saw First Division leaders Somerset Eagles take a giant leap towards promotion to the top tier at White Hill Field yesterday.

Dowling, son of former Devonshire Colts striker Albert Dowling, positioned himself at the near post to nod home a Torry Davis corner kick midway through the first-half.

Eagles now lead the standings by three-points over second- placed St.George's Colts.

The West Enders also have a game-in-hand over their East End rivals.

Ireland Rangers 4 –Paget Lions 1

McLee Smith scored a first-half hat-trick to inspire Ireland Rangers to a convincing home win against Paget at Malabar.

The former PHC and Dandy Town striker turned back the clock yesterday to revisit the form that once made him one of the most feared players in the local game.

Smith put Rangers ahead when he controlled a pass outside the box and fired past the 'keeper with a low drive.

But Paget were back on even terms moments later when player/coach Don Vickers headed in a free-kick to add parity to the scoreline. Jonathan Bean restored Rangers' lead with a low shot before Smith shifted gears and added two more goals before the half to put the match well beyond Paget's reach.
