Bermudian Anthony Mocklow has been appointed the new Director of Golf at the Fairmont Southampton.

Mocklow began his new role last week, replacing former director Bruce Sims.

Having recently returned from England where he has excelled on the amateur golf circuit in the last few years, Mocklow worked as a golf professional before being reinstated as an amateur.

Mucklow's role at the Southampton resort is believed to be centred around increasing golf tourism for the hotel, and further strengthening the relationship that is being developed by Fairmont with Riddell's Bay Golf and Country Club.

The two businesses already have a strong bond, with members at Riddell's being able to use all the leisure facilities at the hotel, and hotel guests being given the option of playing a second course, with a complimentary shuttle service running between the two sites.
