Frances takes top honours
Philip Frances topped both the handicap and scratch divisions, rolling a 752 handicap and 638 scratch as 61 bowlers competed in the latest round of the American Airlines tournament at the Warwick Lanes.
Vernell Harvey pulled out all of the stops and finished the night in second place, bowling a 731 series while Lillian Wilson finished third on 708.
Marilyn Saunders was close on her heels, ending the night on 707.
Frances had the highest game with 228 while Lamar Richardson bowled a 207. Gladwin Harvey was third best with 233.
To qualify for the big prize –– AA airline tickets – bowlers must take part in six of the nine weeks of the tournament and place in the top 15 each week.
There is also a prize for the non-qualifiers who will bowl a separate final on the same night as the qualifiers.
