Tuff Dogs seized the opportunity to make the gap wider between themselves and second placed Vasco, winning their game in hand comfortably over Fire FC.

Aaron Brown grabbed a hat-trick, while Geoff Sousa, Adam Griffith, Ian Mullins, and Robbie Almeida all got on the scoresheet.

Brown scored first when he outpaced the defence and beat the advancing goalkeeper, before making it 2 - 0 soon after when he finished a clever one two with Ryan Gaglio.

Sousa made it 3-0 when the keeper could only parry a Mark Decouto corner, with Sousa reacting quickest to the loose ball and slammed it home.

Fire scored to make it 3-1, courtesy of Lionel Furbert.

Almeida then beat both defence and keeper to get his name on the score sheet, although Gaglio made sure it went in by forcing the ball over the line.

Brown completed his first half hat-trick with another solo effort.

Jay Astwood scored Fire's second early in second half to make it 5-2.

That was as close as they got though, and goals from Mullins and Griffith sealed the points for Dogs.
