Entries for the 80th annual Men's Match Play Golf Championships, one of the Island's longest running tournaments, will close on Monday, with Bermuda Golf Association this year hoping for a bumper entry.

The Championships will begin with the medal play round scheduled for Monday, March 9 with the various match play flights determined after that round. Play continues throughout the week.

Running in conjunction will be the women's 78th annual championships, both tournaments as usual to be played at Mid Ocean Club.

The finals are sheduled for March 14.

At last week's BGA annual general meeting, Mid Oceal Club member Terry West replaced Bob Legere as president.
