Khano Smith's New England Revolution extended their winless streak to five games after slumping to a last gasp defeat against Columbus Crew on Saturday.

Robbie Rogers scored the winning goal in the first minute of stoppage time to spoil an otherwise enjoyable night for Revolution rookie Zak Boggs, who marked his first career professional start with two goals.

Boggs gave the Revolution the lead midway through the first half before Eddie Gaven and Cory Gibbs scored for the Crew. Boggs then struck again before the interval but Rogers' late heroics earned Columbus the three points.

Bermuda international Smith played the entire match as a makeshift full back.
