Up and coming Bermuda showjumper JayLynn Hines received a Government Sports Award earlier this year.

Bermuda's up and coming show jumping rider, JayLynn Hines, will be using her Government Sports Award to best of her advantage this summer.

The 14-year-old has a very full schedule ahead which will include travelling to two major showjumping competition grounds on different continents.

Last week JayLynn travelled with Heidi Mello, Bermuda Chef D' Equipe, on her way to Calgary Alberta to the famous show ground of Spruce Meadows.

There, she will spend 10 days with top American show jumpers Molly Ashe and Lesley Howard, learning about top level competition. Hines will then move on to Aachen Germany where she will spend seven weeks training and showing with top German Trainer, Helena (Weinberg) Stormanns.

JayLynn will attend the World Equestrian Festival at the world famous Aachen show grounds where she will see the best riders and horses of the world competing.
