Hood aiming to finish first half of season unbeaten

Robin Hood midfielder Teddy Terceira has challenged his team-mates to finish the first half of the season unbeaten ahead of their match against Prospect United at Somerset Cricket Club tonight.

Victory over mid-table Prospect will catapult Hood back to the top of the First Division table with just one game remaining on the fixture calendar before the Christmas break.

Terceira said: "The main focus won't be going back top, although that's a big deal, but more importantly to finish the first half of the season strong with one game left before the break.

"We have everyone back and fit, so we're looking to put out a good performance and get the result we need."

Coming off a satisfying draw away at promotion rivals St. David's last weekend, Hood are set up nicely for a title challenge this campaign and are still to concede a goal in a staggering eight league matches. T

heir final game of the year will see them take on lowly BAA next Saturday.

"We played St. David's over the weekend and got a good result considering we got a draw on the road," said Terceira.

"They're well organised and have talented players as do St. George's. But when you play teams like Prospect we have to expect to take three points and carry on our climb to promotion."

Robin Hood's match against Prospect kicks off at 7.00 p m. while the second game of the evening sees Ireland Rangers take on Wolves at 9.00 p.m.
