ISL ready for another great event
The ISL/Hope4Life is back for its fourth season and all the staff, coaches and players are ready to go.
This week's column is for the fans. If you have never been to an ISL/Hope4Life, well you will be in for a real treat. It is not just a game, it is an event – an event filled with excitement on and off the field.
You will get to experience fast paced soccer on the pitch, you will have a chance to win prizes and party as Power Girl and The Voice in the Village entertain you. They will have you moving the whole time.
It is a family event and plenty to see and do, from our great sponsors' giveaways to our players' performances on the field.
Fans, this is not your average soccer game, this will be an eye opener. If you have ever been to a professional game of any sport in the USA then you know what I am talking about. I know how you act when you are out of Bermuda at big events. I also know that some of you may fear being seen when coming to events in Bermuda, so let's put it like this, when you walk into the gate at the National Sports Centre this week, Friday or Saturday night, let your hair down, relax your mind, breathe deep and take on the atmosphere.
As soon as you get in your seat ask DJ Casper to play your favourite song, then sit back and enjoy the show that ISL pros are about to put on for you.
All ISL games will be played at the National Sports Centre on May 21 and May 22 and for all other dates visit the ISL official website www.islsoccer.com.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for youth (under-12) and seniors. At the gate, the cost is $15 for adults and $10 for youths (under-12) and seniors.
Tickets can be bought at CellularOne, Lindo's and Sidekicks.
The first game starts at 7.30 p.m., and remember they are all double headers.
As for security, at the gate everybody will be heavily checked with metal detectors and and bags searched, so we ask you to please be patient with our security staff as you enter the gate.
Not only will there be security in the ground but also in the stands. We have a great partnership with GET and Bermuda Police Service who we have donated tickets to. This is a community event and we want to show our appreciation to those groups helping to keep it safe.
Power Girl and Voice of the Village are the ISL hosts for all the games. DJ Casper will be playing hits from old school to new. They have created themes for most of the nights, from "Oldies Night" to "See if You got Talent Night".
This week Power Girl and Voice of the Village will be dressing up as Super Heros and they will be calling all Super Heros five years old and under. If you have a Super Hero with you on Friday you will pay $10 at the gate.
The promotional nights will be hosted by some of our sponsors, Lindos, ACE Insurance, Cellularone, TBI, Sidekicks and Cyclecare. Expect plenty of giveaways and fun games on these promotional nights
No alcohol will be sold or allowed to be brought onto the premises and you will only be able to purchase food and soft drinks at the concession stands.
No alcohol will be sold and there will be no smoking in the grandstands. If you are caught violating the rules of the ISL/Hope4Life and the National Sports Centre you will be asked to leave.
The ISL/Hope4Life looks forward to seeing you at the games and hope that you enjoy every minute of your experience.
Until next time!
