Island team take lead in women's golf tournament

Kathy Lloyd-Hines fired an 82 as Bermuda made a strong start to this year's Kitty Michaels International Invitational Tournament event in Florida.
The Island have an eight-shot lead in the gross division after a team score of 261 on the Islandside Course at the Longboat Key Club and Resort in Sarasota, Florida.
Alongside Hines' 82, Katrin Burnie carded an 89 and Ann Symonds a 90.
Just behind Bermuda are Greater Toronto and Southeast Florida, tied on 269 with Puerto Rico four shots further back on 273.
Yesterday's round left Bermuda in sixth in the net division with a score of 232, five shots behind leaders Lyford Cay who scored a combined 227.
