West, who had been the hero before turning villain in Bermuda semi final loss to USA, was again the villain when he gave up 15 runs in a crucial over that turned the match, with the visitors struggling at 101 for seven with six overs left before the debacle.

Yet it could have gone totally different had Dill held onto a routine catch, and the simplest of the three he had taken all day with the score at 37 for four.

Winning the toss, Bermuda elected to bat and scored 133 for eight in their allotted overs.

Irving Romaine was the top scorer with 42, blasting sixes all round the ground, while Hemp and Janeiro Tucker scored 25 and 21respectively.

In reply the Cayman Islands scored the required runs in 19.1 overs, with Dill the best of the Bermuda bowlers, taking three for 2.

Rodney Trott bowled took two for 19 to help Dill.
