Like father, like son. Eardley Jones capped an impressive week for the Family Jones as he followed son Nick's Moonlight Tour triumph with a win of his own.

The veteran golfer fired a two-over par 73, nearly a shot for every year he has been alive, to win the latest round of the Jack Daniels Tour at Port Royal Golf Course on Monday.

It was enough to give Jones Snr a one-shot win over Daniel Augustus, even if Augustus had to play off the championship tees while Jones played off the senior white tees.

Jones had three birdies, three bogeys and a double-bogey in his round, and triumphed largely because Augustus had a miserable day with the putter. Twilton Smith and Dwayne Pearman tied for third place with five-over pars 76s.
