Keeper Williams to hold coaching clinics

Bermuda Hogges goalkeeper Jason Williams will be passing on his 'between the sticks' knowledge to local youngsters as part of a series of coaching clinics this autumn.

Williams' Numero Uno after-school coaching programme will not only improve 'keeper skills but also help participants with their school studies.

The Bermuda international said the Bernard Park-based course would be open to anyone aged between 13-19 and that training gear and classroom tutors would be provided.

"Numero Uno is set up as an after-school programme that assists with goalkeeping and academics," said the 25-year-old. "The way it does this is by having two-part sessions, study hall and goalkeeper specific training.

"Each part will be an hour long and will run back to back starting 4.30 p.m. daily.

"There will be two sessions scheduled per week for each of the three age groups."

Study hall sessions wil be held at the Salvation Army building next to Bernard Park.

Williams has organised a number of coaching clinics in the past and regularly trains North Village's young 'keepers.

The shot stopper said he was looking for more sponsors to join current contributors The Market Place, Correia Construction and Orbis Mutual Funds.
