Key match ups for FA Cup final
Danvers Seymour (Eagles) v Aljame Zuill (Cougars)
Seymour, the anchor to the Eagles back four, will need to be assertive and not let the big game environment affect his natural game.
He will be going up against the Big Cats’ Aljame Zuill who will be looking to add to his goal tally at the National Sports Centre (NSC).
The pair have had some good battles in the past and this one shouldn’t be any different.
Whoever brings the most intensity early on should win this match up.

Tori Davis (Eagles) v Kwame Steede (Cougars)
Davis will have his hands full in the defensive midfield role should he resume his starting place.
With the style that Cougars play, Davis will be one of two impact players on either side in the match and if he can shut down the Steede in the centre of the park then his team should have a good day at the office.
The player he will be directly be lined up against – Steede – demands respect and attention.
His dynamic style of play makes him the focal point of most of his side’s attacking raids.
The experience of Steede in pressure situations may give him the edge over Davis.

Troy Tucker (Eagles) v Kori Goddard (Cougars)
Cougars’ other impact player, Kori Goddard, will need to be at his best if he is in his usual defensive midfield role.
He has had spotty outings this term and those performances have cost the side at times throughout the season.
Sunday will be his day to show his true quality and grit in the engine room and tireless work ethic.
Bermuda youth international, Tucker, has had a good season in the central midfield for Eagles and can take the game by the scruff of the neck if he is allowed to roam the NSC without someone keeping tabs on him.
The supply line to the wide men and strikers goes through Tucker, so if the amount of touches he gets is reduced by Goddard, the title could very well be going to the ‘Den’.

Antwan Russell (Cougars) v Ijahmon Mallory (Cougars)
Russell has had a quiet season by his own high standards, but seems to always bring his game in big matches.
Being a part of last year’s beaten finalists, Dandy Town, he won’t want to experience that feeling again.
Cougars will have to be mindful of him switching flanks and attacking from wide positions.
Mallory will one of the main players keeping a close eye on Russell and it will be an interesting match-up to watch.
Mallory and Kijuan Franks have formed a good partnership this season and Franks will need to provide cover for Mallory if he has to chase the pacey Russell.
***
Daniel Andrade (Eagles) v Domico Coddington (Cougars)
The key to this whole match will be how well does Andrade contain the speed of Coddington.
A new kid on the block, Andrade has shown he has what it takes to make the grade in the top-flight but when the spotlight is on, he is an unknown quantity.
Going up against the speed merchant that is Coddington.
With the winger potentially coming off the bench, he will be primed and ready.
But regardless of whether he starts or not, he can be a predator and may need to be double-teamed if he is having success out wide.

X-Factors
Keishen Bean (Eagles)
For his age, Bean is a veteran that demands respect or he will punish you.
He has been flying back and forth from his overseas studies to assist in his side’s success this season.
The former North Village player would like nothing more then to lift another FA Cup.
He has a knack of producing his best work when it matters most, and he will expect nothing less then his very best. On his day he could prove to be the difference between the two teams.
***
Lejuan Simons (Cougars)
A gem that has been uncovered this year by Cougars, Simons has been through it all this season including playing matches most players would only dream of taking part at his age.
Having played in both the Clyde Best Invitational and the CFU Championships in the last three months, the youngster will be chomping at the bit to help the club win their first FA Cup and go down into folklore.
He has put in fine performances throughout the campaign and one would bet on him to come on and be the deciding factor.
