Parsons wants Blazers to cap off campaign with a trophy

Dandy Town Hornets are the only obstacle standing between Boulevard Blazers and a triumphant end of what has been an encouraging season.

Having defeated Town two weeks ago in the final game of the season to seal a second place spot, the side are buzzing with anticipation for the clash.

Blazers midfielder Michael Parsons is cautiously optimistic his team can see off the threat of Town and avenge their 2006/07 FA Cup final loss to Colts.

"We are feeling good, the team is in a nice vibe and ready to go," said Parsons.

"Preparations have been good, guys have had some nice training sessions and good number turning out, so we are fully prepared."

Blazers were runners-up in both the league and Dudley Eve but have yet to taste the sweetness of success.

Parsons, a former Dandy Town player, reckons his side has what it takes to beat last year's finalists, but also noted that anything can happen and most likely will.

Boasting a potent arsenal of attacking players, Blazers will undoubtedly be primed and ready for the encounter.

After seeing off the likes of BAA and Prospect United, he belives now is the time to make a statement.

"We want to win obviously, but at the same time we can't sit back and think they will give it to us.

"We have to earn it and it will be a hard fought game," he continued. Winning the FA Cup would be a good reward for us.

"We haven't done too bad this year, coming second in the league and runners-up in Dudley Eve so a trophy would be nice.

"You have to take some losses to become a champion, that's how it is.

"We have had a fair share of knocks along the way but that's what makes you stronger.

"If you look at the season it was very close, no one was really head and shoulders above the rest. But in the end we want to win this trophy and end the season on a high.

"May the best team win, but we are looking to take the FA Cup home with us."
