Dwayne Pearman, perennial winner of the Bermuda Professional Golf Association Championships, found himself in a familiar position as the tournament's 2001 edition got underway at Port Royal yesterday.
On a day when only three players in a small field of 16 could break 80, Ocean View pro Pearman led the way with a three-over par 74.
Next best were A.Trott and D.James who both carded 78s.
Second round of the 72-hole championships will be played today.
