PHC win seven-goal thriller
Dandy Town 3
PHC 4
Johnny Ball's late stoppage time winner gave PHC a memorable victory as they defeated Dandy Town in their Dudley Eve encounter last night.
PHC were down 2-0 courtesy of first half strikes from Terrence Daniels and Jamal Swan for Town.
In the 64th minute Blenn Bean converted from the penalty spot to make it 2 -1, before defender Mikey Lambe was sent off for his second yellow card in the 69th, PHC, however, would equallise in the 74th through Khamisi Lightbourne.
Cofield Robinson appeared to have scored the winner when he nodded home a free kick.
However, Ricky Saltus levelled matters with his header in the second minute of extra time before Ball's winner.
North Village 1
Devonshire Cougars 0
Pierre Smith's solo strike got North Village's defence of their Dudley Eve crown off to the best possible start with a win over Devonshire Cougars at Somerset Cricket Club last night.
Smith struck midway through the first-half to score the lone goal of a game that the Rams dominated from start to finish.
Village skipper Sammy DeGraff said: "It's always important to get off to a good start, and lately we have usually gone down and had to fight, so for us to go up tonight gave us confidence and that is always a plus."
"We didn't come into the game as a cup game, we came in looking to improve on our last game."
"In a game like this, when chances are at a premium, they had a few chances and we could have had more than what we got, but we are pleased."
