BAA 1 Somerset Eagles 7

Sharpshooter Darin Dowling netted a hat trick at BAA Field yesterday as newly crowned First Division champions Somerset Eagles came from behind to thrash cellar dwellars BAA.

BAA rocked their high-flying opponents on their heels when they took the lead courtesy of a goal from Shane Morrisey.

But goals from Anthony Webb and Dowling put things back in proper perspective as Eagles held a 2-1 advantage at the half.

Dowling completed his treble with two quick strikes after the break before goals from Troy Tucker, Roger Lee and an own goal left BAA completely gutted.

Somerset Trojans 8

Somerset scored eight second half goals to see off Paget at White Hill Field yesterday.

Adrian Burrows, Antinori Butterfield and Tahj Wade all snatched braces, while Drake Simmons and Jelani Butterfield added a goal apiece.

With the win Trojans remain three points behind St.David's with an identical goal difference and a game in hand.

St. David's 4

Prospect United 1

St. David's remained in the driver's seat for the second automatic promotion spot as they beat Prospect United 4-1 at Lord's.

Dominique Lambert and Dejuan Paynter put the hosts two goals up at the break before Angelo Cannonier and Sean Boddington put their names on the score sheet.

Kijuan Saltus scored Prospect's only goal late.

With no games left in their fixture list, the East Enders must now wait to see what Trojans do in their remaining matches to know their promotion status.

Wolves 1

St. George's Colts 2

First half goals from Jerrau Hayward and Romiko Smith gave the visitors a much-needed win, keeping their promotion chances alive.

Wolves pulled a goal back through Michael Dill but it wasn't enough to overcome the two-goal deficit.

St. George's must now win their final game and hope that Trojans do no more than draw their match against Ireland Rangers in order to go to the play-off tie against Devonshire Colts.

Young Men's Social Club 1 Ireland Rangers 3

A McLee Smith hat trick gave visiting Ireland Rangers a hard-fought win over Young Men's Social Club at Bernard Park.

Smith gave the visitors the lead just minutes into the match when he latched onto a ball played over the top of the defence and slotted past the onrushing keeper.

Social Club, however, stormed back and were back on even terms midway through the first half when Clay Darrell scored from close range on a set piece.

But Rangers regained the lead for good when former PHC and Dandy Town striker Smith headed home after the Bluebirds failed to clear a corner.

Smith then put the match beyond Social Club's reach in the closing minutes with a left-footed shot from above the penalty area that found its mark.
