Horseshoe Bay will be the venue for the second annual Bermuda Beach International Tournament from September 11-13.

The sport, which has been growing rapidly over the last year is coordinated in Bermuda by avid tennis player Tont Brannon.

Several players from overseas are expected to fly in for the event which will offer $2,500 for the winner of the men's pro event.

Besides the men's pro division, there will be other categories for Ladies Pro, Advanced Men, Advanced Ladies, Fun Men, Fun Ladies and Mixed Doubles.

The US Beach Tennis national championships are being staged on the Labour Day weekend of September 4-6.

In the local tournament, a beach party is planned featuring the Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band.
