Tough start for Eagles
Somerset Eagles begin their Premier Division campaign against Devonshire Cougars tomorrow as the domestic football season in Bermuda gets underway in earnest.
Kenny Thompson's side could not have been handed a tougher start on their return to the top flight, but will fancy their chances of beating a Cougars team who were less than impressive during their Charity Cup defeat at the hands of Boulevard Blazers last weekend.
While Eagles will have to deal with the loss of influential midfielder Marlon Rojas, who has an anjkle injury, Cougars are likely to be without Ricardo and Lamont Brangman who were sent off against Blazers.
The other promoted team, Somerset Trojans, have a far easier start against Hamilton Parish, a side many have tipped to be relegated come next April.
In the day's other games, the main clash will be at St John's Field where Dandy Town will take on new tenants Boulevard, while PHC face Southampton Rangers, and Devonshire Colts travel to North Village.
The game of the day in the First Division takes place at the new $1million Field Turf facility at BAA, where newcomers Robin Hood and MR Onions face each other for the first time since both being accepted into the league.
