Under-18s end Sir Garfield Sobers Tournament in defeat

Bermuda's Under-15 cricketers relax on the beach in Barbados during their tour.

The Bermuda Under-18 national team signed off from the Sir Garfield Sobers Tournament with a nine run defeat against Coleridge and Parry School in Barbados.

Coleridge and Parry won the toss and elected to bat in the final game on Monday, posting 122 for seven off 27 overs.

Shane Parris top scored with 31, while Kevon Subbler, Michael Hudson and Tre Govia each took two wickets.

In reply, Bermuda were all out for 113 with skipper Terryn Fray scoring 23 and Machai Campbell hitting 20.

In last Friday's win against Barbados Cricket League Juniors, Bermuda were made to chase 146 after bowling out their opponents in 40 overs.

Joshua Gilbert led the attack with figures of four for 24, while Deunte Darrell took two for 21.

Bermuda reached the total with three wickets to spare thanks to a 52 from Machai Campbell and Kevon Subbler who hit 29.

The Islanders recorded two wins and five losses during the tournament and had two matches rained off.

Meanwhile, the Under-15 national team are also in Barbados finishing off their preparations for the ICC U-15 Regional Championships to be held in Bermuda in August.
