Wade-Fray leads Mocs to victory
Bermudian Jenaya Wade-Fray scored 22 points to lead the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to an easy 71-47 victory over Appalachian State.
The win put the Lady Mocs into first place in the Southern Conference.
Wade-Fray hit four 3-pointers and had seven rebounds and four assists, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
Coach Wes Moore said of Wade-Fray, who was born in St. George's and who won a bronze medal with Bermuda in the Island Games in Rhodes last year: "Jenaya played very well. She hit her shots, including some 3s against the press that were big."
UTC plays Western Carolina on Saturday in their regular-season home finale and will close out the season in what could be a winner-takes-all game for the Southern Conference at Samford on February 28.
