for this year's CARIFTA Games when he clocked one minute 58.9 seconds in the 800 metres at a National Stadium meet over the weekend.
The time was Walcott's fastest-ever over the distance.
He won a silver medal in the under-17 800 metres at last year's CARIFTA Games but will this year move up to the under-20 age group.
Another fine performance over the weekend came from 12-year-old Brittanny Marshall, who had already qualified for the Games, which start in Grenada on April 21.
She had a personal best throw of 23.66 metres in the discus.
