The Pembroke Cane Toads gave the Warwick Rim Rockers their third straight loss with 62-57 win Thursday night.
Losing their last two games by two points, the Rim Rockers were looking for their first win of the season against the undefeated Cane Toads.
The side kept the scores close in the early minutes against Pembroke's high powered offence, trailing by six going at the half.
The Rim Rockers came out with high intensity in the second half, scoring off a series of turnovers by the Cane Toads to pull within two.
Pembroke's leading scorer Jamie Cedino, who dropped 15 points, scored back to back baskets to push Pembroke's lead to eight but Warwick stayed close and pulled within three after a three pointer by their leading scorer Keon Wade, who finished with 13 points.
Despite Warwick taking their first lead in the second half with two minutes remaining, the Cane Toads would answer in the final minute to retake the lead and defeat Warwick 62-57, giving the winless team another heartbreaking loss.

Devonshire Dragons 51
Despite Devonshire Dragons leading scorer, John Lee returning to the lineup, the Dragons struggled from the floor and fell 72-51 to St. Geore's International.
Lee attempted to keep the Dragons close in the first half but St. George's centre, Dean Jones, could not be contained down low in the post.
A series of baskets by Jones gave St. George's a double digit lead at the half.
In the second half, St. George's forward Swain Swainson scored 12 of his season high 20 points.
The duo of Jones and Swainson proved to be too much for the Dragons as St. George's maintained their double digit lead to defeat the Dragons 72-51.
Jones finished with 27points, while Swainson chipped in 20.
John Lee led Devonshire with 27points.
